I am a junior in high school looking to major in economics (Liberal Arts), with pre-med. I have a 3.58 unweighted GPA; I got a 1900 on the old SAT and a 1360 on the new one. I’m ranked 82 out of my class of 600, which is the 14th percentile.
I am the founder and president of Investment club, the president of Political Debate Club, Co-Founder and Co-President of Ultimate Frisbee Club, secretary of Key Club, member of DECA, member of HOSA. I am also an inductee of the Chickfila Leader Academy, National Honor Society, and Spanish National Honor Society. I was a captain of the JV soccer team at my school this year that won a district championship and will be on Varsity next year.
I consider myself to be a strong writer so I hope my college essays will be compelling. I’d estimate like a 8 out of 10.
So my questions are:
- What are my chances of getting into UT or at least the CAP program?
- How necessary is the ACT? Because I’d prefer to study for the SAT again than studying for the ACT.
