Hey guys, I’m a senior currently in the application process living in Texas. I’ve been a little worried about getting into my dream school, the University of Texas at Austin (preferably Mccombs). The main reason is my GPA and class rank. As you may know, UT has an auto-admission process that accepts the top 7%. I am not in that top 7 percent. If you could give me a straightforward answer of whether or not I can get in, that would be great.
GPA: 3.1
Class Rank: 86/539 (top 16%)
Unweighted: 11.7 (unusual scale, but take all honors and AP courses)

ACT: 30 superscore

Work: Spent this past summer, overlapping school a bit, lifeguarding at 40 hours a week.
Ethnicity: Hispanic (Puerto Rican)
Essays: From what I’ve written, they are very good because I have had a major life-changing experience that resulted in a paradigm shift.
Income: over 200k a year
Recommendations: Municpial court judge, economics teacher, and pole vault coach
Senior year course load:
AP Statistics
AP English IV
AP Biology
Debate II (Honors)
Track
AP Government
AP Economics
Also, I was wondering If UT takes 1st semester of senior year into consideration because the application deadline is December 1st and we do not get our transcripts until after that.
If you need any more information to judge my chances of getting into UT just let me know! Thanks!
