tech, and jmu should be no problem.

Nothing distinguishing, but then again, we're not talking HYPSM. :D

Yeah, retake the SAT. That score is not going to get you in UVA/W&M.

With current score, you're in at JMU and Tech. Raise the SAT to above 2000, and you're in at W&M. Raise it to above 2100 (or maybe 2150), and you're in at UVA.

Probably.

any more views on this?

bummppppppp

youre instate and prob in them all.

My son attends JMU. He says that there are a lot kids he knows who are freshmen at JMU, with stats similar to yours, who are instate, and were waitlisted for UVA, and then ultimately rejected. As far as gpas go, he is amazed at how many kids he knows at JMU that had 4.0 or near 4.0 for their hs gpa, but did not get into UVA b/c of weaker than average SAT scores for UVA.

yes... i figured that as well. How much would I have to raise my SAT in order to get accepted?

^There are not any guarantees. Your SAT score is very nice, and is in the midrange for UVA (600-710v, 620-720m). It is tough to say, I am sure that some applicants with your stats get in, and others do not. I just wanted to warn you, so that you don't count on admission. Good Luck!

I want to say good luck to you, we both have very similar stats (SAT and GPA, in-state).

With what PrescitedEntity said, I think your SAT score is better than most of the Tech/JMU students. I know people with lesser sat scores that have gotten into VA Tech and JMU- so I'd think those you can get into easily.

Good luck bro.
