Well, these are my grades, scores, EC's, etc.

Firstly I would like to say, the high school I go to is a competitive private school with a class of 99 students. Only 1 or 2 of these students gets straight A's, and A+'s arent even a possible grade (highest grade possible is an A). Also, the American History 11th grade course and English 11 courses are not officially AP's (because my school does not give any official AP courses in English or History), but I took the AP for both of these subjects as did many kids in my grade. P.S. I am Indian, a minority class which will not be much of a help i guess .

Accomplishments+other help: Tae Kwon Do reccomendation, passed AMC, National Merit Semifinalist, AP Scholar with Honor

ExtraCurriculars: I have focused mostly on two things: Chess and Tae Kwon Do. In Tae Kwon Do, I am a black belt, and I teach (as a paid job). I also won the AAU Junior Olympics bronze medal in sparring and silver medal in forms. In chess, I am a former Top 50 List member, and probably will get back onto 16-year old top 50 list again this summer (since I finally have time). I have won the Supernationals in the past. I also spend a lot of time with computers and hope to be able to use my experience with computers as a benefit. I am an associate editor on my school newspaper, and I have been admitted to a semi-competitive Columbia Science Honors Program for high school students which is at Columbia University.

Volunteer Work: I am a volunteer fireman (which I am passionate about), and have volunteered 100+ hours at a Rehab Hospital, where I have worked in their information services department and also by transporting patients. I have also volunteered in a cutting-edge robotics program at the Rehab Hospital which employs technologies which are not widely used yet.

Essays: My Essays are all solid, and my college counselor says that my Common Application Essay is one of the best in my grade. I am also including a Curriculum Vitae of my chess accomplishments.

Bad things: I have made one mistake in my high school career. I plagiarized for a paper in the end of my junior year. Since most of my colleges ask on the applications if I plagiarized, I have written a blurb on the events. My college counselor assures me that it reeks of regret. That also explains my English grade in 11th grade--I got a D+ for my 4th quarter because I got 0's on 1/4 of the quarter's work. :(

Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

just curious, how blatant was ur plagerism, like forgeting to cite something u took the idea out of...or did u just COPy ANd pastE

MIT and Cornell look very hard at grades, and you have many B's...columibia seas would be pretty decent if you can get in. The others are a good shot, imho

taking the idea out of and forgetting to cite

btw, if you want to check this out (it may help) i have the college placement from my school--its pretty good as you can see: http://hackleyschool.org/about/college/

bump.. more replies would be appreciated, ty
