I say you have a decent shot to PENN! I wouldnt be surprised if u did get in!

MIT - High Reach.

Rose Hulman - Safety…extrememly easy to get in.

MIT would be a low reach because of your SAT scores…try bringing them up??

If you really can divide by zero, you should be in everywhere.

hey, I only know about MIT, Penn, NYU, U Chicago
MIT and Penn are high reaches, U Chicago reach, and NYU match? I think. You’re stats aren’t incredible, but they’re good , and if your ECs come together in your essay, they seem pretty strong…

Thank you for all of your responses! Can anyone else offer any insight? I chance back!

MIT is essentially impossible to get into without an 800 math.

There is no way JF is just a reach! It’s even harder than MIT considering that they take 50 applicants every year and the yield is nearly 100%. With that program, showing a strong interest by going ED doesn’t even help. No quotas, URM, school interest when they take 50 people. Even if you do get deferred from JF, Wharton is the hardest program to get in in UPenn. If u had chosen engineering/ arts+sciences the odds are not bad since you’re EDing, but Wharton i’d say a really low chance.

UPenn - High High Reach
MIT - High Reach

The rest I agree.

let us know how you score in december, because right now your SATs don’t help you at all. also, your UW gpa is fairly low but from the sounds of it, your W gpa is fine so that shouldnt hurt you that much. pretty good EC’s, that internship sounds interesting.

MIT - High Reach
Penn - reach/high reach (Fisher being a very high reach)
Wash U - low reach/reach
CMU - low reach
Univ. of Chicago - high reach
NYU - match/high match
USC - high match/low reach
UofW - don’t know enough about it. but in-state will def help you.
Rose Hulman - don’t know enough about it

get some safeties dude. almost all of those are VERY selective schools

MIT, Penn, U of Chicago are reaches but if you are a good writer you have better chances for U of Chicago. Washington U is a match i think. NYU is a low reach. I’m not that familiar with the others, so i am not sure.
Good luck!

I am also thinking of applying to Swarthmore for Engineering (I would like to double major with Econ). I may also apply to Cornell for Engineering… What are my chances at both of those universities?

MIT - Mid Reach
UPenn - Reach
Wash U - Low Reach/High Match
