My rec letters will be great, and my essay will be outstanding, let's assume

What are my chances at WashU ED (I'm at Ladue High School)? Or where am I a good match???

great chance at washu, because they love kids who live close.
if you have a parent who works there, then you're entrance is pretty much guaranteed.

Good test scores, good gpa, decent rank, decent ec's

In at WashU

Aren't over 10% in the top 10% of class?

A girl at my school got into WashU and was given a lot of aid with highly similar stats to yours. AND she was OOS.

Thanks a lot. Are there any other schools that might be as good a match?

northwestern, chicago, johns hopkins

Oh, really! That's quite surprising. I thought I had no chance at any of these places. Are you sure?

yeah... unless these schools don't like ladue.

id deffinately try those schools, your stuff is solid and since it looks promising for washu, why not shoot for the stars

^those schools are on the same level as washu anyway

yeah, I guess. Thanks a lot!

You go to Ladue? I go to MICDS. If you like WashU so much, I encourage you to find some alumni active at Ladue and talk to them. With your scores/rank, apply early. For some reason WashU loves St. Louis kids, so if you apply early your chances are very good. Best of luck.

^I think he'll get in even if he doesn't apply early.

Not one kid in my daughter's IB graduating class got into WashU.

Hmmm WashU does like to waitlist a lot of kids, but for some reason it has a major commitment to St. Louis students, somewhat like Duke is with North Carolina.
