Chances at West Chester University/Bloomsburg University

Hey guys, I am currently a senior at a high school in NJ. I have a 2.75 gpa (4.0 scale), and I have a 1590 on the sat's. My extracurricular activities include two clubs, being a teacher's assistant in a special education summer classroom, and being a camp counselor. I am also diagnosed with ADHD and have a current 504 plan at my high school. I already know that I want to major in Elementary education at whatever school that I will possibly attend. Any comments/criticism will be very appreciated.

Thanks.

(These are my top two schools that I wish to attend, I will also be applying to FDU, Lock Haven, Kutztown, and Montclair State.)

Bump…

hey, i’m from new jersey too. i applied to west chester university i have a 3.85 gap (on a 4.0 scale) and a 1520 on the SAT. I’m president of the creative writing club, co president for a self-advocacy bureau, a writer for the school’s paper, and actively involved with a book group club at my school. I’m not sure what my chances are. my guidance counselor talked to an admissions person from WCUPA and the lady she talked to couldn’t get over the fact that my SAT scores were lower than their average. I think because your SAT scores are much higher than mine, you probably have the better chance. I wish you the best of luck.

sorry, i meant GPA not GAP

Bump… thanks for you input btw. Also, you definitely have a better chance of getting in, you have a 3.8 lol

they look at SAT scores more though. I got rejected from Oneonta State University just because of my SAT scores. and i have a super strong feeling that West Chester will be very much the same. my guidance counselor talked to someone from the admissions office and said it’s not looking so good. they’re obsessed with SATs for their status
