I'm a Berkeley student who transferred from a California Community College. I spent 2 years at a community college with a 4.0 GPA and I have a 3.925 at Berkeley.

I'm a philosophy major and I have a 176 LSAT. My EC's are good as well as my essays.

I should have a good shot of getting in, right?

I would be shocked if you didn't make Harvard, and I'd give you a strong shot at Stanford too, assuming you have at least some decent ECs. Yale is more of a crap shoot...done anything stellar? Mind-blowing recs or incredible essays?

You have a good shot, but it will be much better if you take at least a year off between college and law school, so that you have two years' worth of grades at Berkeley when you apply, rather than just one.

I'd suggest that you find one fantasy that works for you, and stick with it.

Six months ago you posted the following:

"I would really appreciate your help on this matter. I just finished my freshman year at the University of San Francisco and I would like to transfer to Berkeley as soon as possible. I am wondering whether it would be advantageous to go to a community college next year and transfer from there or stay at USF for another year and apply.

"I currently have a 3.925 at USF and have completed 32 units. I also have 8 credits from Stanford where I have a GPA of 3.9."

Hahaha....the day before he created this thread (10/14), he created another thread to see what his chances were at transferring into Haas (Berkeley's B-school) from a community college....asdf, you have really progressed over the span of one day!
