Hello All! I am halfway through the College Acceptance Process and am now frantically waiting for decisions to come out for other major schools. I have recently been accepted to the following schools:
Northeastern Honors
ASU Honors
Texas A&M Engineering
Colorado School of Mines
Auburn Honors
Northern Arizona Honors
University of Texas at Dallas
*Deferred from Harvard
I know most of these are not as prestigious as the rest of the schools I am waiting on however I have heard that Northeastern Honors is difficult to get into. I was wondering if Northeastern Honors means I have a good chance at the following schools:
Vanderbilt
Rice
Washington University in St. Louis
Princeton(Hard to chance ivies I understand)
Case Western
Northwestern
Pomona
If this is not possible I am also wondering what is the acceptance rate for Northeastern Honors?
Simple Academic Stats if Needed:

Each applicant is different. I don’t see how can one use another student’s admission to suggest anything. Also, the admission by lower tier schools would not shine any light on the admission at top schools. You should just ask for your chance with your stat. For top schools, your GPA is a little bit low while your test scores are around admission average. Considering your URM, your chance would be around the admission rates of these schools.
Hey from a fellow Northeastern Honors acceptee from 2022! My test scores are a bit lower than yours but we have similar ecs. I am a URM as well. I don’t know about the other schools, but I was accepted into Case Western EA with a substantial scholarship ($33k per year). I think you’ll be accepted to at least Case (and probably many more).
As for the acceptance rate to the NEU Honors program, I read on the website that students selected for the Honors program are in the top 15% of the entering freshmen class. So 15% of whatever this years acceptance rate is?
Thank you @billcsho and @SuperGymnast_04 Congrats on Honors for 2022! I am hoping for a good scholarship from Case as well. And wow that number is bigger than I expected. Anyways congratz and I guess I will just have to wait and see about other schools.
