<p>'Lo there, I'm applying to 7 schools, and there's three where it seems my chances for admission are questionable- Brown, University of Chicago, and Carnegie Mellon. Chance me (Especially for Brown)</p>

<p>GPA: 4.18 Cum weighted (I've been going up since frosh year: 3.88 frosh, 4.20 soph, 4.48 junior)
School doesn't rank, but I'd be top 5% </p>

Academic Decathlon: Co-Captain, 4 years on the team, won two state gold medals for science
Mathletes: 4 years experience, "A" team for two
Theatre: 4 years experience (two shows per year) , several lead roles
Band: 4 years, First alto saxophone in jazz, pep, and concert bands
Boy Scouts: 7 years, Life Scout (one rank before eagle)
Chorus: 4 years, Baritone vocal part
Summer service trip to Navajo Reservation in Arizona, one week.</p>

<p>You should be fine for Chicago and CMU (I’m assuming that you’re not doing engineering since you’re applying to Chicago), and I want to say that you’d be fine for Brown as well.</p>

<p>You’re a shoe in for CMU, and UChicago. Brown is a good match, but you are not a shoe-in. Chance me please?

<p>I don’t understand why people like you post chance threads, ha. Your stats are pretty much perfect. You should know that at the top schools in the country, you have as good a shot as any other top applicant and it’s pretty much a crapshoot. Your in at all second tier or below schools. How can we chance a “perfect” applicant? It will come down to essays, recs, and how the admissions officer is feeling when he reads your app, IMO.</p>
