hv gd recs. counselor said he definitely highlighted my level of thking in his evaluation; had my intellectual promise shone through. teachers rec shd be gd as well. my ECs achievements definitely did not warrant a check in the top 2 columns (top 5% and one of the best in my career) of the commonapp school report though; alot of my ECs are non-official ECs--they arent school clubs. but shd minimally be above average.

my gp c6 was an utter fubar. i possess a relatively high proficiency in english. been a voracious reader all my life and am utterly in love with the language. SAT score and the 'O' level english A1 can attest to that. my application essay itself was well-written too. many whom i'd shown it to said it was well-written with a gd use of language. the content itself was filled with raw passion and infused with a myriad of emotions.

am intending to major in english and philosophy. last time i did english lit was in secondary 2 though (that's grade 8 for u americans). regardless, i love the subject, i love the language--i love life. not in the sappy optimistic way, but just a realisation after yrs of denial.

applied to williams ed.

applying to middlebury, hyp.

any other colleges to suggest? i'm gonna be needing fin aid. i'm considering alot of the LACs. grinnell, macalester, vassar, marlboro, colgate, etc. shd i even bother with research universities? like university of chicago? public unis are definitely outta the question, given my inability to fund my studies.

canada? is it expensive there?

schools shd be feeders to grad programs; i'm looking for a career in academia. must be able to make post-grad at the top, preferably ivies.

income approx 50K USD per annum (before taxes); however, that counts for jack cos my family is still considerably poor. my father is an ******* who blows his money on whores and what not. feeding his mistresses elsewhere. in fact, the family is actually in debt; he took a loan of 16k USD, claiming it was to cover our expenses, which exceeded our income--clearly bull$hit; the money went to his whores. sister is gonna be a strain on the expenses too, given her recent enrolment in le cordon bleu (paris). hv nothing, with a $hitty dad.

thx.
