hv gd recs. counselor said he definitely highlighted my level of thking in his evaluation; had my intellectual promise shone through. teachers rec shd be gd as well. my ECs achievements definitely did not warrant a check in the top 2 columns (top 5% and one of the best in my career) of the commonapp school report though; alot of my ECs are non-official ECs--they arent school clubs. but shd minimally be above average.

my gp c6 was an utter fubar. i possess a relatively high proficiency in english. been a voracious reader all my life and am utterly in love with the language. SAT score and the 'O' level english A1 can attest to that. my application essay itself was well-written too. many whom i'd shown it to said it was well-written with a gd use of language. the content itself was filled with raw passion and infused with a myriad of emotions.

am intending to major in english and philosophy. last time i did english lit was in secondary 2 though (that's grade 8 for u americans). regardless, i love the subject, i love the language--i love life. not in the sappy optimistic way, but just a realisation after yrs of denial.

applied to williams ed.

applying to middlebury, hyp.

any other colleges to suggest? i'm gonna be needing fin aid. i'm considering alot of the LACs. grinnell, macalester, vassar, marlboro, colgate, etc. shd i even bother with research universities? like university of chicago? public unis are definitely outta the question, given my inability to fund my studies.

canada? is it expensive there?

schools shd be feeders to grad programs; i'm looking for a career in academia. must be able to make post-grad at the top, preferably ivies.

income approx 50K USD per annum (before taxes); however, that counts for jack cos my family is still considerably poor. my father is an ******* who blows his money on whores and what not. feeding his mistresses elsewhere. in fact, the family is actually in debt; he took a loan of 16k USD, claiming it was to cover our expenses, which exceeded our income--clearly bull$hit; the money went to his whores. sister is gonna be a strain on the expenses too, given her recent enrolment in le cordon bleu (paris). hv nothing, with a $hitty dad.

thx.

looks good to me

In, as long as your essays have something to do with your dad and whores.

agreed with mastert tang

I think your are in good shape, but I don't know anything about the international game. I just like this juxtaposition:

Hi hoeman,

Very high chances for the colleges that you have listed. Your SAT I CR and writing scores and 'O' Level English grade will prove that the C6 in GP is a fluke.

Agree with mastert tang, but just don't over-do it.

mastert tang, were u being sarcastic? cant really tell. sorta like that simpsons episode at hullapalooza with smashing pumpkins.

"are u being sarcastic?"
"i dont know; i myself cant tell."

No, actually, I incorporated experience with prostitutes into several of my college essays. If you could write about how your dad's exploitation of an underclass of society brought about the destruction of your family, you will most likely get an acceptance letter within a week.

........ your name is hoeman...dude, no. just no.

that's just a nickname of mine that my great pals back in sec sch gave. it has nothing to do with hoes; however, if u were to say pronunciation, that'd be a diff story.

mastert tang, $hit, i'm still wondering whether there's some joke going on that i dont know. what u said, however, is true. ba$tard...

omg.
damn man, your basically in whereever you wana go.
makesure you take toefl tho

haha good luck hoeman, You would be a fun person to meet in college, I think. But you probably don't want to go to Ohio State, like I will probably end up doing... The woes of the underachieving offspring of a middle-class white family in the midwest...

Hmmm,

To quote Ludacris and Bobby Valentino, "I've got hos, in diff'rent area codes, area codes"

Master T, a candid discussion on the relationship b/w one's father and a bunch of hookers could certainly make for an interesting read, but a very skilled writer would be needed to pull off that essay. Although the bourgeosie who run college admissions may have sympathize with your father's exploitation of proletarian hookers.

Hoeman, you seem like a guy who has a lot of intereting stories to tell. Hope that come through in the apps for you.

Omg The Real Karl Marx?!?!? I Read Your Books!!!! You Spelled Your Name Wrong!!!! Go Proletariat!!!

bourgeois too. hey, ohio wesleyan is in my list. i'm just rushing all the schools with decent fin aid to intls. maybe i'll look gd enough for some to admit me with $$$. just cant wait to watch the simpsons, family guy, american dad, etc, there. u guys hv great programming.

Master, I merely espouse the egalitarian ideals of the late, great revolutionary. My name wrong, I did not spell. Twas merely a feeble attempt at humor. You are right, go proletariat! Das Kapital!
