Chances Cornell ED

Hey what do you think my chances at Cornell Engineering ED are?

SAT: 1390 (780M/610V), i also got 760 on math with a broken calculator :)
SAT II's:
Writing: 560 ... sucks, but hey, this is engineering
US History: 640
Physics: pending Nov, but on practice tests i got 680,710, and 720
Math II: pending Nov, practice tests 740,760,780

GPA: 3.6 unweighted (without foreign language is 3.8, and with senior gpa averaged in is 3.75)
senior GPA is 4.0, 5 ap classes this year (lit, gov, comp sci ab, calc bc, physics b) and 1 post-AP (computer systems)

i have 5 math classes, 6 advanced computer classes

12 honors, 7 ap's total
ap language:3
ap us history:4

fairfax county public schools (northern VA, they're best publics in nation)

for my essay I wrote about my hearing loss, but with a positive spin on how it has taught me lessons, and ive talked to the admissions people, they thought mentioning a disability was a good idea.

I also know one of the top chemisty professors who supposedly put a word in for me.

Basically what it comes down to is i cant wait another month, i want an answer now! thanks

oh yeah, some of my EC's

4 years travel ice hockey
4 years varsity ice hockey (captain jr and sr years)
4 yrs math team
national honors society
science honors society
i have my own web company
i couple other little things as well, i cant really remember

what school in fairfax county, i go to chantilly

hayfield. not the best in fairfax ( i hate it), but fairfax is fairfax

b u m p

your fine. your SATs are low but you have good ecs- like your company. why not consider cornell's computer science school, or even brown's. you seem to like computers a whole lot.

chemistry professor: cheap; your ruining mine and other's chances! however, unless your considering chemical engineering, i dont think how, or even why, he/she's helping you.

I don't wanna restrict myself to computer science. Besides, that's in the engineering department anyway. I didnt ask for the chemistry professor and I don't know he even did anything. Plus, something like that isnt gonna get heavily weighted, if at all.

any more opinions?

hmm.. I think you have good chances. You have OK sat i scores although your verbal is a little low.. and I think your sat ii’s might hurt you.. good GPA and decent EC's.. since you applied early, that should help you. GOOD LUCK!

dammit dammit dammit! i got 740 on Math II and 610 ****ing on physics.

good chance I should probably start w/ applications for VA tech, U michigan, CMU, and case western
