Chances? EA or no?

I was just wondering if i had a chance at Boston College, and if applying EA would increase my chances.

my ACT composite is 30
but i retook it last saturday with the writing section, and i’m hoping i raised my scores, but I am not sure.

my gpa is 3.84 unweighted (it would be higher but I had to move in the middle of Junior year and make up 4 weeks of school work),
and I am ranked 30 out of 529 students.

I have attended 3 different high schools in 2 1/2 years.

Extracurriculars/Community Service:

9th grade (high school of 150 students in Texas):

  • Varsity track and field (placed 6th in the all-district meet, lettered)
-Varsity Cheerleading (Co-Captain, team placed first in Dallas Cowboys comp., lettered)
    -Student Council (class treasurer)
    -National Junior Honor Society
    -Spanish Club
    -Habitat For Humanity
-Parent’s Night Out (Childcare for mentally handicapped children)
    -choir

10th grade (moved to Utah, high school of 2200 students)
-Varsity Track and Field
-Key Club
-National Honor Society (Officer)
-DECA
-Habitat for Humanity
-Debate Team
-Spanish Club
-Summer hire in Hill Air Force Base Public Affairs office, also volunteered there during the school year.

11th grade (first semester in Utah):
-National Honor Society (Officer, Service Project Chairperson)
-Key Club
-DECA
-FBLA
-Habitat for Humanity
-FCA

11th grade (moved to Illinois and started the semester 3 1/2 weeks late)
-Varsity Track and Field (Lettered, St. Clair County Champion in pole vault, placed third in conference)
-Campus Kitchen (Make food for underprivileged citizens in St. Louis)
-Intern at Public Affairs Office on Scott Air Force Base

12th grade (High school in Illinois, 2200 students)
-National Honor Society
-FCA
-Relgions United Interfaith Mosaic (newly founded club at our school)
-Campus Kitchen
-Intern at Scott Air Force Base Public Affairs Office (Official Photographer, and published in the Scott AFB paper).
-Plan to run Varsity track and Field.

I have also been on the Honor Roll all three years of HS, and i plan to be on the Honor roll this year as well.

Also, I have taken all honors classes offered and PAP classes.
I took AP european history soph year, it was the only AP offered.
Then Junior year, i took AP BIO, AP US History, and AP calculus.
My high school in IL does not offer AP classes,
and it does not have many honors classes.
but I am taking the honors classes that they do offer.

Could anyone help me figure out what my chances are, please??

If chance was a letter grade you'll get: A-

Thanks.
Do you think applying EA would increase my chances any?

According to the website, EA is actually harder than RD, and only 20% deferred EA get in RD. I'm not risking it.

oh i see. thanks!

Does BC take the highest scores from each individual sitting?

19382, can you add a link to the website that shows the EA stats you mentioned?

Nevermind, 19382 - I found it. Thanks anyway!

19382, is right ED is harder than RD. Which is why I am applying RD.

Thanks!

i am still debating on EA or RD.
BC takes the highest score from any sitting. so that makes my ACT composite a 32.
i'm going out to visit next week. I guess that will help out with the decision. :|
