so I'm going to be a senior this year, and plan to apply to either notre dame or vanderbilt early. I want to know what you think my chances are.
I'm a white kid from a suburb of boston, so im not getting any help as far as demographics go.
I go to one of the most prestigious all-boys schools in the country, so while gpa right around 3 looks like a black mark on my record, it's a very solid mark for my school, and students with marks like it in the past have gone to very good schools according to naviance.
On my sat i got a 2270/2400, or a 1470/1600 on one try.
My school is not a big believer in AP's but I have taken two. I received a 4 on AP statistics, and a 5 on AP English Lit. The two sat 2's I plan on sending at this point are a 770 on Math I and a 700 on English Lit.
I've been a three sport athlete throughout my high school career, playing soccer, hockey and baseball.
i participate heavily in my school's model un program, serving as my class representative to the executive committee. the program is largely student run, and the executive committee wields a lot of power.
ive been singing since my frehsman year as well in both the schools audition-based group, as well as the open group for anyone in the school.
any response you can give would be most appreciated. thanks

no thoughts at all?

You have an excellent shot (assuming what you say about people with low GPA’s from your school is correct). How low is it exactly, though?

And what’s your class rank?

my school doesnt rank. however my gpa’s is right at the borderline for schools such as vanderbilt and notre dame for my school. my sat’s are well past the borderline though
