Hello All!
I wanted to share a little about my year with you, and ask if you have any advice for how I might be able to improve my resume. Please keep in mind that I have not finished high school, and haven't even taken the PSATs. But it's better to get college advice now, rather than later.
I attend a TINY yeshiva (jewish) high school. My father and uncle both attended Yale. I believe my uncle is a major contributor.
I play softball and volleyball. This year, I was co-head writer of the school play, and I also had the starring female role. I edited and wrote for the newspaper. I was a part of a semester-long college level writing workshop. Additionally, I had an internship at a local zoo.
I ended the year with a 92 average overall. My school ends later than most schools because of the religious classes, so those will be taken into account as well.
This summer, I am in the process of attending a Shakespeare camp at a well-regarded university. I was cast in a supporting role.
That's all of I can think of for right now. I'll add something else if I forget.
I appreciate all of your help.

eta: I was the assistant director of a shakespeare production last year.

You have to work on that. Do you know any student from your high school that was admitted to Yale or Yale’s peer school’s with a 92? If you don’t know, check with your guidance counselor.

I am a very good English student, but I have trouble with math and science. Do you think this will effect me? I am capable of getting an A in math and science, but it is a struggle. If I had exemplary English grades and extracurriculars it might make up for A minuses/ B pluses in math and science? I actually miscalculated my average (forgot to add in finals- whoops!) and it is 94.

Quite possibly. It’s early, but if you can improve your math and science grades, do so, even if it’s a struggle.

leadership roles! and no more ec’s. go deeper.
