I came here because everyone else at the chances board seems to be all ignoring towards me . . .
anyways
I am not worried about extra curricular, jobs and volunteer activities. Every day of the week I at least had something else to do . . .

Anyways
I have around a 3.5-3.6 UW
and i want to apply early decision
I have around a 1220. . .
I'm taking it again and looking to improve

Barely a better chance then. My GPA isn't much better than yours. No worries. Only thing to worry about is that they're going to defer and wait-list more due to the extremely high yield rate last year (a lot of the freshmen class is in hotels).

i haven't heard anything about any freshmen in hotels!! many were tripled and some were even housed in lounges that were converted to rooms to handle the crowd -- but as far as i know they are all on campus in dorms.

i also think the state of the economy will probably make applications to binghamton (as well as other sunys) increase - so admissions may get even tougher -- and as it is binghamton has been increasingly hard to get into every year.

^ My brother told me a good portion are/were in hotels. I don't know if they're STILL there, but I know that at the beginning of the year they were.

I applied to Binghamton last year EA with similar stats and plenty of leadership and EC's, but I was deferred and ultimately not accepted. I believe what hurt me the most was my SAT scores. You should definitely try to improve those and, if possible, you may want to consider taking the ACT's to see if you would do better on that.

Binghamton is only going to get more competitive this year. It was pretty ridiculous this past application season, and like many said, many more people accepted Binghamton's offer with the economy as it is nowadays.

I would suggest that anybody who is REALLY serious about binghamton apply EA. And if you're still considering it enough for RD, still send in your application early on. I believe Binghamton looks at applications as they come in, in a rolling decision manner. So the sooner you apply, the better regardless of ea/rd.

I wish you all good luck and if you guys have any questions, I would love to answer them, so PM me.
