What are the chances for someone with a GPA of about 3.1 (bad Sophomore year) and ACT of 30, many AP and Enriched classes and decent EC/Leadership to get into (i) CLA (ii) College of Education & Human Development and (iii) College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences ? Intended majors Economics/Psychology, Sports Management and Applied Economics respectively. Thanks.

SouthernAlps…Here is a link to the profiles of admitted freshman to the various colleges at U of Minn for fall of 2010. It looks like your ACT score positions you well for any of your choices, but it seems like they look more at your high school rank than your GPA per se. GPA scaling and weighting of Honors/AP courses varies so much from one high school to the next that I think they don’t look at the number so much as where you rank relative to your classmates, although everything counts to a certain extent. Good Luck!!
