You stand a very good chance at being admitted.

Your grades and standardized testing are solid, and you are ranked first in your school. You come from an ethnically and geographically diverse background, and you have an impressive extracurricular record.

Good luck!

Very good chance. You should also consider Dartmouth which has a fabulous reputation in Native American admissions.

Great chance for admission. Just work on those essays. They are very important. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuition is free at Dartmouth for Native Americans.

I concur with the Dartmouth sentiments. There is large but really tightknit Native American population, lots of infrastructure, and tuition scholarships clearly are a great thing. I think you're honestly in at almost any school in the country. I would EA Yale if I were you and apply RD to Amherst, Dartmouth, etc. I think the chances of you getting accepted, as a URM with your stats, from Dartmouth and Amherst are incredibly high.

Why would anyone pick Dartmouth over Amherst? Go ED Amherst.....

I know right. LOL Go Amherst!

I agree with slipper, why not reach higher than amherst and apply EA yale or stanford for that matter...unless you just love the school, then feel free to apply ED (keep in mind however that once you lock yourself into one school, you have no other options)

good luck! I honestly don't see you getting rejected anywhere :)

Oh no you didn't.

Apply ED if you really like Amherst, though. It's a great school. Perhaps a visit will benefit you if you can afford it, along with going over other schools who have ED/EA since doing ED will, as mentioned, lock you out.

Wow, you'll get in anywhere. Your native american status makes you a very precious find (no offense, that's just the way admissions works); plus, you're qualified and talented.

well agent of sense, I love amherst too as I am going there, buttttt if I got into yale or stanford, mehh it might it different for me.

but it all depends on personal preference in the end.

I was going to tell hpg90 to reread the previous posts, but then I realized that, yeah, if you applied SCEA to Yale or Stanford, they would probably throw money at you too.

tealover, Yale and Stanford, maybe, but not Columbia, right? =P

hahaha you are so funny

A fellow forensicator AGAIN!! Dude, you are like the fourth one I've met today one here.
18th at Vegas in Original Oratory riiiiight here :D
what event do you do? LD?

and ***, you're native american, why do you even have to ask? you can go wherever you want.

You're highly qualified on your own merits and being Native American.. well, jeez.
Go big! I think you're in at Amherst.

Amherst is pretty damn big.
If he loves it enough to consider committing to it, then why discourage him?

Go ED!

I know right. Amherst! Woot!
