Chances for 2400 SAT student?

I am a parent and my daughter is fretting because she thinks her 2400 SAT score and 4.5 GPA aren't enough to get her accepted at UC Berkeley or an Ivy. Sher has lots of extracurriculars, but not a lot of community service. I want to tell her she has nothing to worry about, but Stanford has already said no, early decision.

Sorry, but brains are not enough. Extracurriculars weigh heavily in today’s applications. SHe is going to have a tough time getting in an Ivy

Keep in mind that everyone has a tough time with Ivies.

But Multitasker is right… brains aren’t everything, but they sure are a lot. As long as her community service isn’t absolutely horrible, she has a chance.

The 2400 is amazing, and so is the GPA (courseload also matters bigtime!). But to get into an Ivy, you have to go truly above and beyond the average EC’s.
