okay i'm going to be annoying now and bump this thread up. sorry.

bump again.

bump por favor

uhm thanks?! and can I ask what a tankezoid is (since I have no idea what it means)? but yeah, ballet is mad hard (and time consuming), but I'm really passionate about it. :)

bump pleaseeeeeee

chance me and i'll chance you back!

bump again

bump again

Dang it! more really good competition. I'm applying to a lot of the same places the same year and I don't have as good test scores. Oh well.
How do you not have a class rank? Hmmmm...

I can only think of a couple ways you could not get in.

1) GPA. I know you acknowledged it, but that really is a big deal. A 4.0 is almost a requirement...almost. You almost make up for it in other areas, but I could definitely see a Yale admissions guy who had not had his morning coffee rejecting you for this.

2) What your AP scores are for your junior year. You're taking a lot of them and I can almost tell you that you will not get 4s and 5s on all of them. Also, your GPA will probably drop with more APs, so that's another thing to be wary of.

3) One HUGE thing top ivies are looking for is the ability to lead. Looking at your ECs, I see no distinct leadership ability. You obviously performed well academically (I've never seen so many academic honors) but Yale doesn't want purely egg heads who they don't know have the potential to be a leader. They want the future leaders of America.

4) What are you studying? I'm assuming some sort of science or math major. If not, and you decide to study history or something, that hurts your chances A LOT.

umm...is this even possible? Your list of ECs is off the charts...it's almost as if you took several different people and put them together....

Well, our school doesn't have class rank, but I can almost guarantee that I'm in the top 25%, maybe 10%. I seriously have no idea.

And actually, I'm not taking that many APs my junior year. And I've been teaching myself a crapload of material during the summer, so my grades won't drop junior year.

And I agree about the leadership stuff. But I still have another year, so I'm almost positive I'll be a leader in one (or more) of my clubs. And I'm already a chairperson in Red Cross and captain of my SciBowl team.

And I said earlier that I'm interested in science (the top of my original post). More specifically, biochemistry. I wouldn't do all this science related stuff if I wasn't interested in it.

Yep, I actually do all of this. Let's just say I have no free time...ever.

Wow, I wish I had your ECs ^^. The top 5 or so ranked schools are always unpredictable, even flawless people might get rejected and less perfect ppl get admitted sometimes. It's almost all chance with them. But you seem to have as good a shot as anyone can possibly have ^^
Must say though your being an over-represented minority doesn't help ><

Yeah, I know...my Indian-ness definitely doesn't help me. oh well. Thanks TeaOverCoffee. Anyone else?

hmmm a lot of views....more chances please?

chance me please. or give me some constructive advice

hmm...if any of you guys want to give me advice, i have a question.
which seven ec's should i list on my app? i think all of them are pretty important, and i've been really involved in all of them. and i can elaborate on all of them, so that's not an issue. i guess the "prestigious factor" is kind of important here...help please?
