Chances for a couple schools

I am a Pennsylvania resident who plans to do something related political science or economics. I have a 3.2 GPA and an 1860 on the SAT. The reason for my low GPA is that I did very bad in my junior year, and got under a 3.0 throughout due to issues outside of school. I had all A's and B's in honors courses 9th and 10th grade. I took 1 AP (Statistics) and all honors in 11th, and am taking all honors and 2 APs (Comparative Government and Macroeconomics) this year. I play football, have about 30 hours of volunteer work, and am fairly involved in my school community in terms of clubs and activities.

I plan to apply to: Villanova, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, U of Miami, U of Maryland, James Madison, and Indiana

My sister had a much higher GPA and SAT score and did not get into Villanova, it is EXTREMELY competitive. If I were you I would take it off my list to be honest… but you have a clean shot at the rest for sure! I would definitely add a few more though if you end up taking off Nova, you should look at Clemson, Tulane, U of Florida, Ohio State and UConn! You 100% have a shot at those schools, if you already looked there and didn’t like them, sorry! It just seemed similar to your choices already and considering your score and grade I think you are very eligible
