Chances for a CS at CSU/UC?

Hi everyone, I am a junior in high school. Here are my stats and schools that I am interested in. Please let me know of any other colleges that fit my GPA and are good for my major, computer science.

GPA: 3.92(I have yet to take any AP classes)
PSAT: 1020(I don’t know how this translates to a SAT, but I don’t think this is too good)

Extracurriculars: Varsity track, summer job at a grocery store, dual enrollment with a local CC(have taken 3 courses, intend to take at least 3 more), officer of an Esports club, copywriter of the newspaper club, and I intend to have a couple of Cisco certifications by the time I’m 18.

Personal Statement: Diagnosed with Aspergers when I was 8, overcame a lot of obstacles. Half native american. First person to go to college.

CSU:
Cal Poly SLO
Cal Poly Pomona
Cal State Fullerton
Cal State Long Beach
San Jose State

UC:
UC Santa Cruz
UC Irvine
UC San Diego

Thanks everyone in advance.(I took your advice a year ago with my first post, I used to have no extracurriculars. Now it has helped me personally, and I assume my application aswell.)

Until you complete your Junior year of classes, it is difficult to determine how you will fare with the schools above. You do not have an SAT score and all the UC’s and CSU’s (except Cal Poly SLO) use 10-11th grades only in their GPA calculation. SLO uses 9-11th grades.

If you are interested in CS, you are on the right track with your grades but if you have not taken any AP classes yet, hopefully you do equally well.

You want to aim for a UC capped weighted GPA of 4.0+ with an SAT in the 1350+ range or higher to be competitive for most schools.

UC GPA calculator: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

This calculator will give you the UW UC GPA, Capped Weighted UC GPA and Fully Weighted UC GPA. The capped weighted UC GPA is what you want to help gauge your chances.
Not sure which courses are a-g and will give you extra honors points, then use this link by typing in your HS name?

UC’s tend to be GPA focused but your test scores, HS course rigor, essays and EC’s will all contribute to your chances.

For the CSU’s, they base their admission decisions only GPA and test scores only. Capped weighted UC GPA=CSU capped weighted GPA.

They calculate your Eligibility index and rank you based on major. The EI thresholds fluctuate each year so aiming for a 4100+ for most schools (exception SJSU which you needed a 4725 for CS).

EI= (CSU capped weighted GPA x800)+ (SAT Math + EBRW).

You will get priority at your local CSU which you can look up on this link. Local applicants usually require a lower EI to get an acceptance unless the program is highly impacted.

Impacted campuses/majors: https://www.calstate.edu/sas/documents/ImpactedProgramsMatrix.pdf

SLO uses 9-11th grades and uses the same UC calculator and caps the extra honors points at 8 semesters. They have an MCA point calculation vs. eligibility index. If you want more info, please PM me and I will send the calculation. SLO’s CS acceptance rate hovers around 9% so unless you have a 4.1+ SLO GPA and at least a 1450+ SAT, consider this school a Reach.

Best of luck, do well your Junior year and come back and post your updated stats.
