Do I have a chance????

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
MIT
Stanford
Cornell
Univ of Texas-Austin
Georgia Tech
CarnegieMellon
Georgetown
Northwestern
University of Chicago
Wesleyan University
Johns hopkins
Amherst
Dartmouth
Tufts

VERY good chance everywhewre

Can you elaborate?I mean where did you just come up with that quick opinion? I'm an international and all things work against me, dont they?

Whoa. You speak a lot of languages. That's pretty cool.

REACH:
Harvard
Yale
Princeton
MIT
Stanford
Amherst

MATCH:
Cornell
Georgetown
Northwestern
Carnegie Mellon
Johns Hopkins
Dartmouth
Tufts

SAFETY-ISH:
Georgia Tech
UT Austin
Wesleyan

And yes, international admissions is much more competitive. But I haven't spoken to that many international applicants, so I'm not sure exactly how much more competitive.

Go to www.admissionchances.com or www.************

^ What the heck; why is it starring out the link?

What is my weakness? What do I need (or did I need) to improve?

I'm just gonna say you should maybe take one more SAT II if possible. You don't really have weakness...you're well rounded. I'd say the only thing that could keep you out is the crapshoot aspect and the fact that you're international.

not needing finaid puts him ahead of 75% of the international pool, and im guessing your stats ut you above the last 25%

what;s a crapshoot aspect?

Crapshoot effect-

Some kids gets in with average stats, while some amazing super-human kids get rejected......

bump............

Bump Bump Bump

This didn't need bumped. You got your chances. Someone else needs a turn.

You have no weakness; but you have no exceptional strength either. Thus, admission to top schools cannot be guaranteed. Besides, for schools like Harvard who aim for a well-rounded class (rather than generally well-rounded people), so many science-oriented people apply that they can only accept so many.

^^ he knows 5 languages

Mm yes, but that would only be a huge strength for a program like Huntsman. Otherwise, he would have to apply his knowledge innovatively in order for it to count as a significant "hook".

Well, maybe my opinion is not needed/wanted... but you get it anyway:
5 languages is riddiculous! And you have traveled extensively, so you have cultural experience to back up...everything.
I would say you have a relatively good shot at anywhere.

I agree with savoirfaire.

Knowing 5 languages is interesting, and sets you apart from other candidates a bit. But I think you need a larger "hook". A 2230 SAT I is a little low for Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, MIT. Aim for 2300+.

As an international applicant, you're competing against all those applying from your country. Hard stuff.
