I've been told that I'll get into none of my colleges as I have a single year of grades on record. Any comments to assuage or confirm that fear would be much appreciated

Will they look at my freshman grades?
Please evaluate colleges as reach/ match/ safety, if possible.

Thanks for your time.

given that you took what normally is a senior level math class your freshman year and the fact that you're applying as a junior in high school, they'll probably take a closer look at your freshman year grades. the one thing is, though, if they are taking 10 kids per year from your hs, do you really think stanford believes kids have exhausted their resources at the school by junior year? i'm guessing that a school with a history of acceptances at stanford has, in stanford's view, done a good job of preparing students. if anything, you'll be able to do the whole application process again next year!

p.s. if these are chances for a friend, why do you keep saying "i" and "my experience..." haha

I think you have a good chance.

Oh, he created his post and he's only using my account to post them because he's too lazy to create his own account. (I have my own chances posted somewhere else)

Also, out of his own words, he took Calculus BC in freshman year because "he didn't like math".

this thread just made me feel really bad about myself.
:[
why are you even freakin asking if you have a chance?
practically guaranteed, if your essays are at least mediocre.

thats totally jueyan
and we (lynbrook kids ) all know where he is going to....

what we learned?
DON'T GRADUATE EARLY!
