Chances for a friend

<p>Hey all, </p>

<p>My friend asked me what his chances were to get into his colleges (he is applying next year). I am still a sophmore, but told him I would ask this forum. Anyways, I don't know his exact stats...but they are something like this:</p>

<p>Freshman Year: 3.25 GPA
Sophmore Year: 3.83 GPA
Junior Year: 3.83 GPA</p>

<p>His SATs are above 2100, and he took the Math and Physics SAT IIS and he got above 700s on those. </p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<p>He has been on varsity tennis team since frehsman year.
He has volunteered at the local hospital since sophmore year.
He has been a peer tutor at our school since sophmore year.</p>

<p>He also took AP Computer Science, AP Biology, AP Calc, AP Stat, AP Phycology, and AP US History. </p>

<p>What are his chances to get into schools like Carnegie Mellon, Johns Hopkins, UC Berkeley, Cornell, University of Michigan, University of Penn, and NYU. </p>

<p>I forgot to mention that GPA is using the A=4, A-=3.7, B+=3.3,B=3, etc. way of calculating GPA.</p>

<p>If he's not smart enough to go on school websites or figure it out through his school than he doesn't deserve to go to prestigious colleges like the ones you mentioned.</p>
