I’ll be honest with you…I,too, went to high school in Michigan and most of the people I knew with these kinds of stats were first deferred and then either waitlisted or rejected. I don’t know whether the College of Nursing is more or less competitive than LS&A, but if it’s less competitive you have an okay chance, and if it’s more competitive, it doesn’t look so good for you. I’d retake my ACT. If you get it above 30, your chances should improve significantly.

I disagree. I went to high school in Michigan last year, and I know numerous people with stats similar to yours who were accepted. I think you have a good shot. If you get above a 30 though, admission is almost guaranteed if you apply early.

I would think a male looking to go into nursing with a 3.86uw gpa would have an excellent chance being admitted. Best of luck to you.

^ agreed. There are not many males interested in the nursing field. I say you have a good chance of being accepted.

You should be in. Get a 29+ and you’re in for sure.

27 ACT is pushing it a little. I suggest you try to raise that.

I agree with cdz on the ACT score, but like others said, you’re a male going into nursing so you should be in.
