Chances for a low income student at NYU, Columbia, and Cornell

Hi everyone,I am going to 12th grade and I want to know if I have a guaranteed spot in NYU, COLUMBIA, or CORNELL preferably through HEOP or regularly. Being in a low income family, I know my education is the only thing that can improve my life. I am not sure if I am considered a minority as my parents are from the middle east.

income for family of 5: 15,000

sat: 650 math 630 crit. 590 writing

average: 95

APs: soph. year-AP euro-4.
Jun. year - AP gov. 4, AP calc. -4, AP Bio - 5.

sat 2: bio - 740, world hist - 590

extra curic.: over 120 hrs of community service, debate team, math team, author for weekly newsletter, science olympiad/contest, chess team, published a poem, honor society.

job experience: summer 2007 - day camp, summer 2008 and 2009 - sports medicine

Please I want to hear your opinions(especially those who got HEOP).

Also will applying early decision help my chances for getting heop?

You will not be considered a minority. Can’t comment on HEOP, but your scores are not in range for any of these schools unless you will be viewed differently under that program.

The other problem you’ll also have is that NYU is highly unlikely to give you the financial aid you would need.

There are several good SUNY school where your stats would work, have you looked?
