Chances for a procrastinator (again)..

I posted about a month ago, but I just got my SAT scores today so I thought I should repost.

Basically, a lot of stuff has gone on in my life, be it deaths of close family members, depression, etc. All of this started to happen before my freshman year, and completely ruined my attitude and motivation. Because of all of this, my grades have suffered severely. I went from being counted on for at least a 90% GPA in middle school, to my current GPA of 72. I just haven't been able to come out of it until now, when I realized it might be too late to get into college, considering they don't really look at your senior year (I'll be in my senior year next school year). For some reason I feel like my college life is depending on my SAT scores, which should be coming in in the next 3 weeks. I've just been wondering if even the best of senior years academically speaking will be enough to get me into college, and was wondering if people could chance me. Here is my "resume" so far:

Near end of junior year
72 GPA
No AP/Honors courses

Math: 530
Reading: 500
Essay:560

EC's- Basketball (9th, 11th, will play in 12th), Baseball (playing next year), FBLA (next year), representative for student council (10th, 11th)

Work- Just started working at Gamestop, previously did little stuff like babysitting, mowing lawns, shoveling snow, etc.

And here are the colleges I am considering:

Towson
Monmouth
Shippensburg
Millersville
Tennesee-Knoxville
Central Florida

Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bump. I could really use the input, unlike the people here who do everything near-perfect and act like they don't think they'll get into college and still get 2 pages of replies.

No one has replied because no one knows anything about these schools. I went to collegeboard.com. I have no idea how your gpa will affect your chances, though. When you visit, ask about the averages.

Your scores are good enough for:

Towson
Shippensburg
Millersville
Central Florida

You're a little below the range for:

Monmouth
Tennesee-Knoxville

Well, unfortunately I dont know many of the schools on ur list. However I do know 3 and ill comment on those pluss suggest several options:

UCF: ok heres the deal with UCF. Im from Florida. I applied to UMiami, USF and UCF and then several OOS schools in the Big Ten. I got into all of them except USF and UCF. its really weird. I had stats higher than urs. 3.2 and an SAT of 1700(1100 CR and M). Im still clueless on their admissions policy because it was a shocker. Based on that I can only say its a 50/50 cause it could go eitherway there.

Tennessee: thats a total reach for ya. both ur SATs and GPA are below the average.

Towson: a very nice option. id consider it.

Suggestions:
- Indiana: was one of my safeties. its relatively easy to get in although with ur grades it might be a lil harder cause they are looking for a B average and not a C however I know a ton of pplw ith C's that got in. Gorgeous school btw. Amazing!!

Purdue: another safety I applied to and again u have a shot here as well. ur gpa really sucks but u might have a shot. both IU and Purdue accept 75-80% of the applicants so thats why im saying its an option and both are great schools.

University of Arizona: if u dont mind the heat then I guess its ok. its not nice Florida weather cause theres no ocean. its all a dry desert but again its a really good school and easy to get in.

Arizona State: same description as UA

Local Florida school u might have a shot in:
- Florida Atlantic
- Florida Gulf Coast
- Florida International
- North Florida

Well I'm not from Florida, I'm from PA. UCF was the only school outside of 1,000 miles away that I was interested in. Any schools similar to those suggested closer to where I am?

I guess a bump works.

:O did u like any of the others I mentioned.
Arizona, Purdue and IU are great possiblities and are all 1st tier schools. They are all waay better than Towson and u have just as good a chance.
umm here is a list of Penn schools I thought of:
- Temple University: If u dont mind being in the ghettos of Philly
- Saint Josephs: If u can afford the price tag
- PSU: u might be able to make the regional campuses and then transfer easily to Univ Park.

Arizona and ASU are too far away for me. Purdue and IU might be a little far but seem like good choices. I'm not a fan of the Philly area, so St. Joe's and Temple I don't like too much. I was thinking about PSU-Hazelton, but that's too close for me.

Plus, Towson has always been #1 for me. Far from home, but close at the same time, and I can see Orioles games whenever I want.

IU might be a lil far but its not on the other side of the world. its a descent drive to Penn from IU.
Plus when u see IU, its too good to be true. its easy to get in but the campus looks like ur attending Harvard lol. seriously.
I almost went there but preffered staying in Florida.
