chances for a rejected student

<p>Hey everyone- I was rejected elsewhere for ED. I really like Tufts and am applying there for RD. What do you guys think of my chances?</p>

<p>Asian Female</p>

<p>GPA is 3.74 unweighted, 4.44 weighted at a very competitive suburban school in Massachusetts</p>

<p>SAT I- 770 v 700 m, SAT II- 800 writing, 700 history, 670 math
APs- all 5's so far</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars-
Varsity Policy Debate (spend many, MANY hours doing this, debate nationally almost every weekend)
Secretary of Best Buddies
Class Secretary
Secretary of NHS
Peer Mediation Organization
Basketball
Flute
Piano
Honors Wind Symphony
Longy School of Music in Cambridge
Korean School of New England
Break-dance Club
Volunteer Work </p>

<p>Essay good, Recommendations pretty good
Summers spent at UMich and Dartmouth for debate camp (4 weeks long)</p>

<p>Awards-
AP Scholar Award, National Merit Commendation, At least 15 debate awards, First place at regional basketball tournaments, and two gold medals for the MICCA Music Competition</p>

<p>Have you considered EDII?</p>

<p>Stats, ECs and all look very good for Tufts, but if you want to truly up your chances do as snuffles suggested and consider ED2. My son was also first rejected elsewhere and applied to Tufts ED2, was accepted and is now a very happy freshman at Tufts.</p>
