So just a little back story, right now I am a junior at the University of Maryland majoring in mechanical engineering. I've had a few different internships (NIH, Computer Sciences Corporation) and I've realized that engineering is not for me. One of the draws of the degree was good pay and interesting work. So far, neither of those seem to be true, at least in my case. So I've decided to stick it out, work for a large engineering company for a few years, then go back and get an MBA and move into either consulting or banking (assuming of course I can get into a top program). I want some idea of the chances I would have at a top program, one which would allow a transition to banking or consulting. With these stats, assuming I apply to a good number of top programs, is it reasonable that I would be able to get into at least one?
Thanks for the advice!

Grades and GMAT are good enough. It depends more on where you work, what you have done there, and what your story is. Bonus points if you are female and/or minority. I wouldnt assume that you would get in anywhere since the odds are already low. Gauge how compelling your work experience is.
