Chances for Admission from a bad student?

Let me tell you, I’m going to regret my first two years of HS if this is what it comes down to…

I’m in State

I got about a 2.3 GPA both Freshman and Sophomore years, my Junior year I got an average 3.0 GPA, and this year I am confident I cane get a 3.5+ GPA,

I’m taking AP ECON, SENIOR ENGLISH, PRE CALC, AND POLITICAL SCIENCE(College course)

my average GPA right now is a 2.6 UW, but a 2.4 if you just include the core requirements…

I know I’m bad, I got a 21 on the ACT and am retaking it this Saturday, should I raise it to a 22 before applying?

finally what are my chances! thanks…

This is from ASU's site

Aptitude Requirement

Students must meet one of the following aptitude requirements:

3.0 GPA in competency courses (2.5 - 2.99 considered)
Top 25% (top 26-50% considered)
ACT 22 (24 nonresidents)*
SAT Reasoning 1040 (1110 nonresidents)*

Freshman Admission Requirements, Preferential Deadlines and Steps | University Student Initiatives

If you can raise up that ACT score you should be able to get in since you are a resident.

Did you take the SAT? If so what was your score?

yeah I did, and it wasn't good. I prefer the ACT style.

How is your class rank?

i don't know if we have one.

ASU does take 95% of its applicants

but i can be that 5% :(

With an attitude like that I don't recommend you apply to ASU, or any other college. You should go to a community college and work your way up. However, if you actually have some faith in yourself and gain some confidence then maybe you'll get in. I happen to have very similar stats to you, however remember that ASU plans on expanding into one the largest colleges IN THE WORLD. They already have a 90 something acceptance rate. As long as you didnt no get D's on your report card all of high school and have around a 77 average and decent ACT and SAT's scores you have no reason to worry. However, it depends on you're major..

Best of Luck

P.S.

your in state. wow

your a lock..

but i have d's.

how many D's.
and say you get a D in science which is below the requirment but get a 22 on the science part of the ACT..then your clear

make your grades up with test scores

yeah my d's in science are made up, Algebra 1 and 2-D's, Spanish 3/4-D's I'm retaking Alg 1 now... and might take alg 2 next semester.

I think that if you stay confident and continue working hard, you'll have no problem. Once you bring your ACT score up to at least a 22, you should be fine. Good luck! :)

I got my scores back, I got a 22! woohoo
