Hi there,
I'm a high school senior this year. I want to apply early decision to Amherst College. My grandfather went there, I have an aggregate SAT score of 2070 (although I will probably get it over 2100 after I take it again in October). I've taken 4 APs and gotten 2 4s and 2 5s and 3 SAT 2s, one with 750, one with 700 and one with 650. I've played jazz piano for six years now with lessons and have played in the school ensemble every year of high school. I've worked at my school's summer camp for 4 years now for 6 weeks a summer (one year I only worked 3). I've played basketball all through middle school and high school and have attended several basketball camps. I played soccer through middle school up through 10th grade. I'm also planning on doing track and field this year, although I'm not planning on playing any of those sports at the intercollegiate level. I'm also doing 2 independent research projects this year, one in economics and one in philosophy. I've taken 2 languages all through high school and have done several lab science classes and calculus. My school doen't have grades, there are written reports instead, but my reports are always very good. I'd love to hear what you all think my chances are. Thanks in advance.
