Thanks for your comments!

Everyone always expects 2250+, what they get is often a different number. :)

Aside from that, your scores and grades are at a good level and will get you in the door. Your running EC is also good. I think you stand a really good shot at getting in.

anyone else? bump...

you're in. your stats, everything. AA will give you another hook, and your stuff is very good.

congrats i hope to meet you next fall. :D

I'd say your chances were really good for any applicant, being an URM will certainly help.

thanks amnesia! I hope I'll see you too! are you applying early?

I would say that you have a very good chance of getting in, since you are both a URM and a recruited athlete with good stats. However, don't be surprised if you don't get in (that is, don't get your hopes up, as nobody should); Ivy admissions can get very random.

stele32: believe me, i tried not to get my heart set on one college (esp an ivy) b/c ive know too many ppl who did that, applied early, got defered, then rejected, and they were really intelligent people with good ec's too. So I guess I do have my hopes up, but I'm in love with 2 of my safeties too, so hopefully come april, I won't be heartbroken. :) Thanks again for the reply

Yes, Yale EA.

amnesia: Cool! I hope we both receive fat envelopes! Go Bulldogs!

yeah... hopefully. I'm not getting my hopes up, though. :p

:)

I filled out most of the common application, just need to wait for the actual supplement and for senior year to start.

If I may ask, what African nation are your parents from?

yea dude u have amazing chances, just get that SAT up to 2250+ and ur chances will be even better. i'm hoping for a fat envelope in december too! :) Good luck

amnesia: my parents are from nigeria which is on the coast of w. africa and pretty much right on the equator

wrath: good luck to you too!

Also, I know last year that to find out electronically in December, you logged in to the website. But does anyone know if this year we have the option of getting an email? Thanks

i know where Nigeria is. :p i love geography and other countries...

that is truly amazing... would be awesome to visit Africa some day.

i'm not sure about an E-Mail... but, I'd rather log in.

Everyone knows where Nigeria is... it's huge!

yeah, i guess it is. then again, it's also well know for ppl who pull scams where they call you, tell you a family member is in trouble and to send all of this money. Believe me, one of my aunts in nigeria almost got tricked. lol. :)

lol

they have computers in Nigeria?

only kidding.

Yeahhhhhhhhhh I've heard about that scam. Hahaha.

amnesia: haha!
film: yeah, its funny but kinda scary too. Yes, we nigerians are very clever. lol. ;)
