i'll chance back.

Very impressive, congratulations! I can’t tell from your stats but are you a straight A student? I love the Friendly Flowers, great idea! Did you apply ED or RD? Did you show a lot of interest in Emory, visit, contact regional admin officer, etc? I think you have a solid chance. Oh and what state or part of the country are you from?

Thanks
im from FL
i have straight A’s for my midterm/final grades (what colleges see)- one B+ in english freshman year and one B+ in freaking independent study french III.

I applied RD (i didn’t apply anywhere ED, that scares me) and i have visited often because my sister is a freshman there right now.

oh don’t worry about RD vs. ED and the scholar thing. Sibling at school +, Straight A’s + and Southern student +, I say you have a solid chance! Best of luck, keep us posted!

I think you definitely have a solid chance at getting admitted to the Emory Scholars program.

thank you guys
less than a month til i know if im a semifinalist…

There is definitely nothing bad or mediocre in your application. =] But I feel for some reason, your SATs and W GPA should be higher.

It just depends if they care about having ridiculously high stats more than ECs.

my SATs could probably be higher. kind of gave up after the 2nd time and i’m content.
as for my W GPA, i have the highest in my school and taking theology which is required and french (which was only regular- 4.0 W- for two years) kind of threw it off and put me at a disadvantage but whatever. im content with that too

thanks for your input
anyone else? i will chance back!!

i think you have a solid chance
good luck
chance me

you have a really good chance-you have unique ECs, good test scores, and you’re valedictorian.
btw-you sound like me, the whole ED binding thing scares me too even if it increases my chances of acceptance.

thank you to all.
i found out this morning that i AM a semifinalist. which means accepted to emory. and i’m floating on air right now :)

Congrats!!!

Congrats augustgurrl for getting accepted!!!
