You won't be able to get into Ivies with those low SAT's. Sorry. But great chance for NYU and other similars.

Might check out some good liberal arts schools like Holy Cross-near Boston, or Trinity in Hartford.

id definitely scratch princeton off of that list, but thats obvious. those stats are good for nyu, bu, cuny, suny. not sure about the rest. do you go to one of the science magnet schools?

I dont attend one of the science schools, but I go to a pretty competititve school in brooklyn.
I had a feeling columbia and princton are extreme reaches.
Would my chances for cornell improve if I raise my SAT score more? I know I can get higher on the writing because Im more familar with the essays now.
Thanks for your all your input.

UCB/UCLA: Reach (out of state)

With Cornell, it all depends on what college are you applying to. But no matter what, the SAT's have to be higher than a 1900...2000 at least.

No chance at Princeton/Cornell.

Are you a legacy? First generation to college? URM? Other factors about your life and time in HS which may be a factor? Don't get put down here just because of your scores......there could be something very interesting about you and if you don't apply you will never know.

NYU is extremely selective these days...i think BU might be more of a match.
