Chances for average student?

Hi! If I could categorize myself, I would say I’m a pretty average smart student. I do well, but I’m not a valedictorian or shooting to go to a top 20 university. Im applying to a ton of popular private schools in cities on the east coast, and was wondering if I have a chance at getting in to them? I feel like everyone wants to go to these schools so I have no idea!

Heres where I am applying and what major I’m applying as (some vary at each school)

  5. University of Pittsburgh (BUS) (ALREADY ADMITTED!! YAY :slight_smile: )

  11. University of Richmond (COM/BUS)
  12. Rhodes College (BUS)

Fordham is my top school, along with BU, GWU, and Syracuse!

Here are my stats:
Large Suburban NJ HS (500+ Students)
GPA: 4.7 Weighted
Class Rank: 1st Decile
AP Scores: 4 LANG, 4 APUSH
ACT Scores: 30C (28M, 28S, 30R, 34E) 31 Superscore (Syracuse, Northeastern, American, Villanova Superscore the ACT)

6 honors classes total, 6 AP classes total (4 senior year), 3 years of spanish
Straight A’s Sophomore Year, Junior Year (perfect weighted GPA Junior Year - 5.0)

Senior Year Courses:
AP Statistics (will taking this instead of calc hurt my chances? I just am more interested in Stat than calc, had all other math honors courses through HS)
AP Psychology
AP English IV
AP Environmental Science

Extracurriculars:
4 years Student Government - Senior Class Officer (Basically 9 people elected in charge/represent the senior class)
3 years of working at a beach club
3 years of volunteering at hospital
NHS
Cross Country
Newspaper
Team Challenge Business Club
etc…

Awards:
Principals Honor Roll (2 times) (School)
Library of Congress Writing Award - Distinguished Honoree (State)
County Business Ethics Competition - 3rd place (State)

So basically I just want to know my chances at any of these awesome schools! PLEASE do not tell me about scholarship or financial aid chances I just wanna know if I could get in or not. I guess just predict the results you think I would get? Thank you so much!

Never believe chancing done by another high school senior. You have a good chance at all of these schools but your stats are on the low side for BC and Northeastern. Also for Syracuse Newhouse as it is their most selective program.

It is useless if you are admitted and cannot afford to attend.
