Chances for Biology?!

What do you guys think my chances are for biology major with:

3.8 Weighted 10-12 GPA
29 composite ACT

A few AP classes, passed all the tests…
Applied as Early Decision, if that changes anything, which I don’t think so.

Thanks!

I am in a similar situation as you with a GPA of 4.06 and a 28 on the ACT. Cal Poly uses grades from 9 - 11 for comutation of your GPA. I am also applying early decision for biology, so hopefully since we are in a similar situation, we will both get in. I have heard that early decision helps a little bit, but not sure if that is true.

I am also in the same place! My cal poly gpa is just shy of 3.9 and my act is 30 and I feel like I have a pretty good chance for biology. Goodluck to ya!

I’m very similar too. 29 ACT, 3.93 W GPA. plus I go to Templeton High (for those that don’t know, its like 25 minutes from cal poly) so that is an advantage.

I don’t know if I would apply as a bio majr for sure but I’m defniitely interested :)

all four people on this thread have really good chances.

Thanks for all the input. Anybody else?

I think you would get in because the average freshman acceptance is a 3.95 with a 29 ACT. Besides, how much community service/work experience have you received?
