Chances for Bowdoin, Pomona, Brandeis, Hopkins, Swarthmore, Williams, MIT and Ivies

Wondering about my chances for these schools

GPA - 3.7
SAT - 1380 (700m 680r)
ACT - 33 (going to retake it b/c low in Math-27-ran out of time; 35 in other 3)
all my classes are either Honors or IB except for strings, PE/Health and state gov.
haven’t taken the SAT subject tests yet.
High school is charter/magnet school, best in state
Best in Class for physic project in Honors Physics

ECs:

Asian culture club - co-president
Tri-M (music honor society)
Full orchestra club
Tech club
badminton club
glee club
volunteer work and community service
youth orchestra

intended major in pre-med and minor in music

My GPA dropped in my junior year due to health issues.

Also, my high school does not rank

hook - will graduate with an IB diploma as well as high school diploma

I would MIT and Ivies off your list; they are a large reach. The others are feasible but try and work on your essays to make them the best possible.

Side note: I wouldn’t include the physics project on your application. It’s not really a major accomplishment

IB isn’t a hook

Is your reported GPA weighted or unweighted?

You should go with your ACT and get that math score up. And I assume you’re taking your final tests in December, including your subject tests? That doesn’t give you much room for error.

You’ll need two subject tests for lots of these schools, and you’ll need to shoot for minimum scores of 700+.

All that being said, all these schools are really selective, so even if you’re competitive, that just gets you a seat at the table – not an admission ticket.
