Brown PLME

Mainly, I feel horrible about my SAT II scores (except bio). Do you think my sat score and other parts of the app (interview, essays) will make up for it?

750+ SAT2 should be your cutoff, I really think retaking Chem to at least break 700 would help, several programs require it. Shadowing a physician would be nice, the rest of your ECs/stats are strong.

So how many hours are good for shadowing a physician? I just started shadowing an oncologist. I’m going to shadow a cardiologist next month and may shadow another physician later. But I also want to get some hours in at the emergency room. What should be my target?

They don’t care about hours in my experience, just what you learned from shadowing. As long as you use it for essays and interviews well, it’s enough hours.

If you follow Neoevolution’s advice you are in the running for everything except Harvard and Brown which is like winning the lottery with their longshot odds.

^Wait, even Columbia and Cornell? Interesting choices I have for college lol

Sorry for necro’ing this thread

Would applying ED to Brown help my chances?

ED has higher acceptance rates, but better applicants also apply early more frequently. Since PLME is so competitive, it’s not a bad idea.
