chances for CALS regular decision

<p>omg i know there are so many of these threads
so i'm sorry for making one, but i am really scared right now hahah.
cornell is my 1st choice, so if i get in it's like 90% that i am going to go there, but i couldn't ed for some reasons.
basically, I REALLY WANT TO GO TO CORNELL. if i get rejected i will probably cry. lol.</p>

<p>SAT- 2130; 650CR 710M 770W
SATIIs (these are so bad.. no joke)- 650 chem, 620 IIc AHHH, 620 bio (i took this one in 9th grade haha, WHY? i do not know..)
ACT- 33
GPA- 3.85 unweighted; 4.0697 weighted (out of 4.0 and 4.2)
my school doesn't rank or do top __% stuff</p>

<p>i've been in the accelerated program since 8th grade (my school doesn't have honors, we just have accelerated, which is you take a math & science course a year earlier)</p>

<p>i've taken 4 aps before this year-- AP English Composition, AP Psych, AP Chem, AP Euro
currently i have 5 aps-- AP Micro/Macro, AP English Lit, AP Physics, AP Calc AB
i'm an AP Scholar with honor
i got 5s on psych & english comp, 3s on euro and chem</p>

<p>my ECs, most of them
-volunteered for 40+ hours during the summer before junior year
-leader of my youth group (church) and i lead bible studies and prayer meetings and stuff, organize 30 hour famines, praise nights etc.
-i have a few clubs; yearbook club, earth club, SAM etc.
-national honor society, spanish honor society, tri-m music honor society
-orchestra for 4 years; played with NY Virtuosi & LI Philharmonic
-i do science research and have participated in a few competitions; i won honorable mention for toshiba exploravision last year
-i worked at an accounting office during the summer
-national society of high school scholars
-certificate of achievement in ap psych (school award)</p>

<p>i have teacher recs from my ap eng comp teacher & spanish teacher (i want to do international trade and commerce-y stuff)</p>

<p>your cr score and satII's are on the low side. acts are good. gpa pretty good. not ranking won't hurt you. ap scores would be helpful but i'm assuming they're 4's or 5's since you seem like a good student. your ec's are ok. it would be better if you had more aem-oriented ec's because showing outside interest is one of the best things you can do. your church ecs are great, but they don't have much to do with aem. since sats/acts and gpa are the first thing they look at, i'd say you have an ok chance, but you're definately not in. you need more of a hook because the first impression doesn't have anything that stands out.</p>
