<p>Hey guys. I am applying to CALS early decision to major in Plant Sciences. I have a great interest in pursuing a career in agricultural research and this school is pretty much the only school in my area that has a major related to that. I really need to get in! I really don't think my grades, scores, and EC's compare to all the other prospective students judging by all of the threads I have read on this forum. But I want to know what you guys think. I have great essays that show my interest in the school and why it is the only school for me. What are my chances?</p>

<p>Cumulative GPA: 3.5580/4 unweighted</p>
<p>Taking AP English, AP Physics B, and AP AB Calc this year. My school only offers AP's junior and senior year. The only options in junior year are bio and US history. There are many offered senior year. we are allowed to take a maximum of 4 AP's over our junior and senior years.</p>

-Certificate for DNA learning (I did a 30-hour workshop on DNA at a lab over the summer)

<p>-Teaching Hebrew to children with learning disabilities at my local synangogue
-Volunteering at on organic community farm
-play the guitar/bass in high school band. perform at school events and at nursing homes.
-Camp counselor at a summer camp I have been going to for 8 years in CO
-Track team
-Tennis team in 9th and 10th grade
-Cartoonist for math magazine
-recreational swimmer (not sure about including this one)</p>
<p>I am Hispanic and Jewish. I am fluent in English (obviously), Spanish, and Hebrew and am learning Latin. If I don't get in to this school I don't have a backup school that I like nearly as much. Do I have good chances?</p>
