-Schools in priority order:
1. Calpoly SLO
2. Carnegie Mellon
3. Georgia Tech
4. Harvey Mudd (reach for sure)
5. MIT (another reach)
6. Case Western Reserve
7. CO School of Mines
8. WPI

My test scores are my weakest point for sure. Hoping to get good recommendations and excellent essays. Calpoly and CMU are my top two by a long shot. In-state tuition at Calpoly vs. CMU's huge pricetag is also a major factor. Let me know what you think and i'll be sure to chance back :)

South Dakota School of the Mines is very reasonably priced - less than $18,000 for out of state - including room and board. The LA Times had an article in yesterdays business section about how in demand their graduates are and how their average starting pay was higher, on average, than Harvard grads.

bump…

Calpoly SLO: Low match
CMU: High match
GA Tech: Low match
Case Western: Match
CO School of Mines: Low match (very reluctant to say safety)
WPI: Safety
SD School of Mines: Safety

bump bump bump

I’m applying to Georgia Tech EA. Do you think this will help my chance?
