I took the SSAT Mock Test and got: Math: 87%, Reading: 80%, Verbal: 94%

Thanks! Please respond!

oh gosh…are these the type of people I’m going against? XD Thankfully, the only school that’s the same is choate.
Anyways, you seem like a pretty well rounded person. (sports, community service, grades, music, leadership) You certainly have a chance at those schools. And I probably shouldn’t be giving advice to possible competition, but I think everyone who applies has decent grades and some ECs, so don’t only depend on those to get in…there’s also the essay and interview…don’t screw those up.

You look good, but on your applications, don’t mention everything you said here. Pick the most important things that you’ve listed as you don’t want to come across as egocentric. It’s like making a bubble out of bubble gum; you want to make it big enough so it catches eyes, but not so big that it explodes and hits you right back in the face. I think that’s a pretty good simile :)

Thanks for your responses! does anyone know about financial aid? although im living abroad, i still have a u.s. citizenship…would they still grant some fa to me?

you can get FA at most schools whether you have a citizenship or not-each school has a different FA program which you should look into. I know for a fact that Loomis now gives the most to its FA program proportionally to its endowment, so maybe you can start there.
You have an excellent resume so I’m sure most schools will let you in with FA-sometimes asking for FA hurts your chances of getting in. For your interview, make sure that you present yourself as someone who can add to the school community. If you have any questions, please ask!

Hey,

How you did?

did you get in one of them?

Bye
