I don't have crazy/amazing/insane stats like most of the people on CC lol

My rank is only 85/725 kids.

So, I was wondering can I still have somewhat of a shot at these schools?
NYU,
BU,
Sarah Lawrence,
Barnard (big reach, but maybe early decision?),
Emory,
Bowdoin

or other schools of that caliber in general?

There was a big dip in my grades during sophomore yr which my guidance counselor will explain (sickness)

I know they are all reaches because of my horrible rank, but my SAT scores are decent (but not amazing):

1400 (just math + reading)/ together its a 2110
math - 670
critical reading - 730
writing - 710

i got a 31 on my ACTs but I don't know if I'll submit that

My school is a good, competitive public school. I don't know if it matters but I'm hispanic.

Do you think I should bother applying? Barnard is a reach and my first choice, but I don't want to get my hopes up high.

my activities are pretty good and show a focus/some leadership, but they aren't insane like i didn't cure cancer.
