Not really chances considering I'm a junior, but I'll just make a list of what I've done and my plans for the 12 months I have left before I actually apply to get a good gauge on where I stand.

Race: Middle Eastern (Iraqi, Kurdish, Turkish - considered "white" on US Census though)
Gender: Male
Major: Mathematics, possibly another science major depending on my experience in college, want to go to medical school
School: Mid-sized school in central VA that sends maybe 1 kid to an Ivy each year

GPA: 4.0 unweighted
SAT: 2200
SAT Subject: 800 Math II, 710 World History, going for an 800 on Bio M
Rank: I would be 1/400 but my school does not rank IB kids so I'm "unranked". Otherwise I have the highest GPA.

APs: 4 (AP World, AP Stats, AP Environmental, AP Calculus BC - self study, took the Calculus AB class)

IBs: 10 (IB English 11 and 12, IB Psych, IB Bio HL Year 1, IB Bio HL Year 2, IB History of the Americas, IB 20th Century Issues, IB Theory of Knowledge, IB Spanish)

The rest are honors. Most rigorous schedule possible at my school.

Community College Classes taken: College Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry, Linear Algebra, Ordinary Differential Equations

ECs: (this is where I'm lacking, many are only 10-12 since I moved after 9th grade)
*Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow (boy scout honor society pretty much)
*Senior Patrol Leader (highest leadership position in scouts), did it twice
*Assistant Senior Patrol Leader (2nd-highest), did it once
*Cross Country, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track 10-12
*Math League 10-12, some awards
*President of Chess Team 11-12, some awards
*Shadowed a cardiologist, got to watch some procedures
*Hospital Volunteering, about 100 hours
*Cardiology research with professor
*Other ECs that I can't think of off the top of my head

Essays: Will write about running and how it has shaped me as a person (sounds cliche but this really comes from my heart). Maybe write about my experiences as an Iraqi in the Boy Scouts post-2003

So yeah. I hope that my app shows my interest in math and cardiology.

My #1 absolute favorite school to go to would be Stanford, but I realize the chances are very very VERY slim (I see people with god-like stats worry about their chances here). For this reason, I want to apply ED to Cornell just to increase my chances there a lot, since I like Cornell too.

The thing is, I'm in-state at UVA and IF I got into Cornell ED I know it would be a lot more expensive to go to Cornell than if I were to go to UVA.

Any chance, advice, CC wisdom, etc. would be much appreciated. Thanks :)
