I am a junior. My unweighted gpa is a 3.5 weighted 3.9. Ive taken the SAT and scored but a 2300, but Im sure I can do better. I've taken four subject tests Math I,II, Bio E, and spanish and I've scored above a 760 in all 4. Looking at engineering or computer sciences. No financial boundaries. Applying EA i am in the top 15% at my highschool .it is very rigourous and we are a blue ribbon school. (according to my guidance counselor) Colleges acknowledge that my school makes it exceptionally difficult for students to succeed, and i do follow an upward trend from freshman to sophomore and the trend shoots up to junior

Everything is really strong except for your GPA. Try and raise that a lot in senior year. Hopefully your grades improvement is really drastic, that might help a lot. I would say that Cornell and JHU are prob super-reaches and Vanderbilt and Tufts are slightly easier to get into.

Just to add, my gpa is low due to only two courses: honors geometry and honors algebra 2 in which I received a c- in both. These are the only two low points of my transcript

AP classes rather than honors the first 3 years would have helped a lot. But your test scores and leadership/ECs are excellent! I would say low reach for johns hopkins and mid reach for cornell. I don’t know very much about the other schools
chance me back? :)

Nice test scores and really solid ECs. Coming from a blue-ribbon school myself, I sympathize with the whole academic-rigor issue that somewhat deflates our grades. Like others have already said, your GPA is a bit low, but your class rank is high, and I think that also reflects on the difficulty and competitiveness of your school. Your low math grades are poised to hurt you if you intend to go into engineering, though. Cornell and JHU are probably reaches, whereas Tufts/Vandy are low reaches/high matches. Also, I think your safeties look good.

Solid EC’s and great SAT scores. Improving your GPA would increase your chances. Considering that your school provides a hard curriculum, I guess it’s acceptable. If you’re seeking engineering major, boosting up your math scores won’t hurt.
Reach - Cornell, JHU
High match/Low reach - Tufts, Vanderbilt
