I am not worried about the essay so please focus comments on the test scores, extracurriculars, and course load. Thank you all very much.

Your test scores are excellent. Your EC's are a bit on the light side, but if you apply early, that hopefully won't matter as much. Your rank will certainly help!!! As long as you're not applying for engineering, I think Cornell would be a good bet for you... Good luck!

By the way, Cornell has ED, not EA. That means it's binding, so make sure it's your first choice.

thanks for the reply koala717

... el bumbadingo

i hate to bump but it seems no one wants to post here so
... el bumpadingo

You're definitely in with ED.

I'd say you have about a 95% shot at getting into Cornell........

.............for regular decision.

For Early..........195%. (No Typo)

I strongly suggest you apply to better schools because I really think, with your stats, you could do much better.

However, if you really think Cornell is the best fit for you, I respect that!

Hey BreakorDeath you just made me smile ear to ear! Also do you know who Eddie Izzard is? "Cake or Death?"

"I really think, with your stats, you could do much better"

Unbelievable. Cornell really doesn't get enough credit on this site.

Yeah I get that Koala717 I have seen people rate it lower than UVA on here so maybe he was just going by that standard but I just kinda like to hear good news from time to time.

Yea, what are you talking about , besides Harvard Princeton Yale Stanford, there is not any better than Cornell many can argue. Whoever said that is a moron. You are not a shoe-in whatsoever. Plenty of kids get rejected with those scores

"can do much better", how much better is there? this kid deserves to be punched

I think you have a lottery ticket... I think u can get in ;)

You're a good candidate - but if you really want a high chance of getting in ED it. But MAKE SURE, I mean MAKE SURE you can live with it. Because it IS binding and people do change. I mean you're applying November and you go to school next September - that's about a year. And it's senior year, so you'll definitely change and the worst part about ED is that you might regret it - and no one wants to regret their decisions.

MIT
CalTech

Those two, without question, are definitely better. There are quite a few others that are better that can be named though I'm sure some diehard Cornell fans would debate those.

Well I'm not going in for engineering or math related degrees so I have to argue that Cornell has a quality med program unmatched by most others and that their graduate programs are better. But overall you guys basically think I have a good shot?

Don't worry about it. You have a great shot :).

Keep in mind, though, that you'll be applying to a single school within the university, and each one has a separate admissions process; some are easier than others.

Good luck!

Without question are better? What if you happened to want a social life?

one last bumpadingo then im done...

so im a big fat liar because el bumpadingo again... seriously if no one else posts ill let it die

troooolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
