Chances for Dartmouth, Princeton, MIT, Yale, Stanford, Brown, Williams, Amherst?

I am a rising senior and I am planning on applying to Dartmouth, Princeton, MIT, Yale, Stanford, Brown, Williams, and Amherst as my reaches (but probably not every one of them) and I am wondering what my chances are of getting into these highly competitive schools. I will be applying to Dartmouth ED. I plan on majoring in either chemistry, classics, or fulfilling the requirements for med school.

Teacher and Counselor Recommendations: All recommendations should be very good as I am receiving them from my BC Calculus teacher (skipped two years of math, teacher and I had a lot in common) and from my Chemistry teacher whom I have had for two years and in both years I received the highest grade out of all of her classes. My counselor recommendation should also be very good as I moved to my current school in my sophomore year and had to transition and my counselor has experienced how I adapted and made friends while maintaining my grades.

Essays: Currently writing, I plan on making them really representative of what I like to do/who I am.

Interviews: Depends if alumni live nearby.

Thank you everyone in advance for your input!

Bump

Whoops forgot to put 2 year captain down for indoor/outdoor track

You will be a competitive applicant at all of these schools, providing you submit strong applications and interview well.

Are you sure you would chose Dartmouth over Stanford, Princeton, and Yale? If you not certain, consider applying to one of the others SCEA instead of RD to Dartmouth. Also be forewarned, if you require financial aid and are accepted RD, you would be in a difficult position if the financial aid offered is less than you expected.

Thanks for replying! Yeah I’ve been really torn about the ED/SCEA thing because I loved both Princeton and Dartmouth and could really see myself being equally happy at either place. I’m trying out for Questbridge and hopefully I am selected through that so that I might be matched with one of my top choices and I won’t have to deal with financial aid. I got kind of caught up in the numbers game instead of thinking about what my gut was telling me and that made me lean slightly more towards Dartmouth. I’ve also not had the chance to visit Stanford since it’s just too expensive to travel that far, so I don’t really know where to place it on my list.
