I would hope to major in an interdisciplinary program that combines history and biology/medicine, and minor in spanish or latin american studies (my real passion). In a nutshell I'm pre-med with broader interests.

Any feedback would be great..thanks!!

You have good stats that definitely put you in the running, but your race and location do not help you. You seem to be a well-rounded person, but there does not seem to be any "spark." Is there any chance you will be recruited for field hockey or lacrosse? If so, you have a much better chance. Otherwise, you definitely should concentrate on writing great essays and getting great recommendations.

Other people can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Yale does not offer minors, only second majors.

Thanks!
As far as lacrosse/field hockey are concerned, there are no chances of my being recruited...sports are more of what I do for fun.
I guess presenting a "spark" is the problem with being well-rounded. In my quickly typing up a profile of myself, I didn't really convey my passion for Latin American culture (music, language etc.). I will most likely write one of my essays on this.

By the way, how much of an urban campus does Yale have? I haven't visited...is it more cohesive/green than Penn?

I've been to Yale only once, for Bulldog Days, and I've never been to Philadelphia, other than the airport on my way to New Haven, so other people will probably be more helpful than me. :)

I've compared Yale's campus to Michigan's campus, except that whereas Ann Arbor is a very nice college town, New Haven is nice near Yale, but gets seedier the farther away you get from campus. However, Yale has a very beautiful, Gothic campus. It's considered one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation, and I agree. In fact, it's one of the reasons why I chose Yale over Harvard.
