Questions:
What's the deal with sending in marking period 1 grades for senior year?
I'm taking 5 AP classes, and got 2 Bs..in AP Lit-88 and in AP Physics E&M-89. No one gets an A in AP Lit and a significant amount of people get Bs in AP Physics, but I'm still hesitant to send these in.

I know Columbia is need blind..but they also say race doesn't matter in admissions. So is it a slight advantage that I am not applying for financial aid?

I did not attach anything except my AP scores in the Additional Information section because I was being REALLY REALLY dumb, so I recently had my guidance counselor send in a resume that I made summarizing all my stuff and adding details where needed. What are the chances of them actually looking at this?

Other than that, I'm absolutely terrified for decisions.

My Best Guesses…

They’ll consider the difficulty of your schools curriculum when looking at those grades. However, I personally wouldn’t send them unless they ask.

I think your financial status will truly have no effect on your application.

Not sure about the third question.

I’m more excited than scared! Be confident! I’m sure you’ll do fine :)

hm. thanks for the input. good luck to you as well!

It is not dumb to elect not to include a resume in the application. Columbia does not want one. My son, who is a first-year at Columbia, did not include a resume. He elected to follow the directions.

thats such a relief, thanks!
